The Ayrshire Men's Doubles competition is held each year between the end of April and June. Men's matches are played weekly, usually on a Thursday evening. Troon currently has 3 men's teams entered in the 2011 leagues, currently in divisions 1, 3 and 4.

Troon Men's 1

Our 1st team got off to the perfect start, defeating eventual league champions Prestwick 1, followed up by wins against Stewarton 1 and Kilmarnock 1, before finally losing to Ayr Lawn 1. They eventually finished a very creditable third in the table with 7 wins and only 3 losses, two against Ayr Lawn 1 and one against Prestwick 1.

Troon 1 are: Leslie Sawers (capt.), Liam Macleod, Adam Brownlow, Graham MacDonald, Ian Doolan, David Christian, Scott Wright, Robert Napier, Finlay Wright, John Frame, Angus Yorkston.

Troon Men's 2

After several years of trying, Troon 2 eventually gains promotion to division 2 by winning division 3 convincingly, dropping only 1 point with a draw against Prestwick 4 at Ayr Fort. Regular team partnerships were the key, with a core of 6 players playing 75% of the matches. In particular, the pairings of John Wilson and Finlay Wright secured 7 wins out of 7 and Jevon Chan and Duncan McCall took 5 wins out of 5.

Troon 2 are: Jevon Chan, Finlay Wright, Angus Yorkston, John Wilson, John Frame (capt.), Duncan McCall, Sean MacLeod, Russell Ferguson, Alan Taylor, David Christian, Bruce Baird & Ally Birrell.

After several years of captaining the 2nd team (and sometimes simultaneously the 1st and 3rd teams), John Frame will be stepping aside to concentrate his efforts on the 3rd team.

Troon Men's 3

After a poor start, failing to get a team together for the opening match, our 3rd team rallied to finish mid table.

Troon 3 are: John Frame (capt.), Richard Dorward, Paul Chow, Alan Taylor, Angus Yorkston, Ally Birrell, Adrian Chow, David Sellars, Jack Lowe, Jevon Chan, Russell Ferguson, Bruce Baird, Anuraj Uppal, Sunny Basi, David Richmond, Jim McComiskey, Iain Davidson, David Wilce.
