Scottish Cup - Ayrshire Round

The Scottish Inter-Club Challenge Cup is the premier Scottish doubles event for clubs affiliated to Tennis Scotland. The competition is a knockout event held in two stages, district and then national, between April and June each year. Separate competitions are held for ladies and mens teams.

2010 Competition

Congratulations to the Troon ladies team who won the final of the Ayrshire Round of the Scottish Cup against Ayr Lawn. They now proceed to the national stage of the competition. Tennis Scotland will make the draw by Wednesday 19th of May and the first round will be played on Saturday 29th of May. The Troon ladies' team are: Fiona Mackay (captain), Linda McCall, Jean Wilson, Jayne Haughey, Margaret MacGregor & Dorothy Monnickendam.

The Troon men's team lost at the semi final stage to eventual winners Ayr Lawn.

2009 Competition

Troon entered teams for both the ladies and the men’s competition. Despite proceeding to the national stage in 2008, the ladies team lost in the first round of the district stage to Ayr Carrick. The men’s team lost in the second round of the district stage to the Prestwick, Symington and Ayr Fort club (PS&AF).
