Club Men's & Ladies' Doubles Tournaments
The annual Club Men's & Ladies' Doubles Tournaments are open to full adult and match playing junior members.
2011 Tournament
The 2011 tournament will be held on Saturday, 18 June. All full adult and match playing junior members are invited to enter. Your doubles partner will be drawn on the day.
Pre entry into the tournament is essential so we have time to organise the draw. You can enter by sending an email to info@troontennis.org.uk, texting 07768 291395, or adding your name to the list on the club noticeboard. Last entry strictly by 1.30pm on the day of the tournament.
Play starts at 2pm prompt. Please turn up in plenty of time to warm up before the competition starts.
Contributions of drinks snack and cakes will be welcome.

The 2011 tournaments were held on
Saturday 18 June. 8 men's and 6 ladies' couples competed for the McDonald Cups. The ladies' event was won by Margaret MacGregor and Helen Frame, and the men's by Adam Brownlow and Richard Dorward.

2010 Tournament
The 2010 tournament was held on
Saturday 19 June. Another excellent day saw 9 mens and 5 ladies couples compete for the McDonald cups. In the ladies' event, Dorothy Monnickendam and Jacqui Webster were the eventual winners and in the men's event, the winners were John Wilson and Sean MacLeod.

The 2011 tournament due be held on Saturday, 21 May, has been postponed due to the weather. It will now be held on Saturday, 4 June at 2pm. All full adult and match playing junior members are invited to enter. Your doubles partner will be drawn on the day.

This year's winners were Leslie Sawers (again!) and Julie Sharman. Unlucky runners-up were Richard Dorward and Dorothy Monnickendam. Full results are available here.
2010 Tournament
The 2010 tournament was held on Saturday 22 May. The excellent weather saw a great turnout for the tournament. Congratulations to new member Steph Christian and her partner Leslie Sawers who defeated Linda Crawford and Tony Flint in the final to take the McDonald Cup.

The club is keen to encourage new members, as well as those who have played in the teams before, to participate. If anyone is interested in playing in any of our teams, please contact any of the team captains or a member of the committee.
